DCAM Server 8.2.6 is a webcam publishing application for Windows. The program is open source, thus free, and it is compatible with several video sources. It even supports web cams. Now, what this application does is publish (stream) what your video source is playing onto a website. The website end of the whole process has to be configured too. Also, DCAM Server has a Personal Web Server, which allows you to stream your content when you don't have a web hosting solution. The server will be accessible to those who know the host's IP. There are several other features as well. DCAM Server allows you to set up an offline picture for whenever your video source is not transmitting anything. You can also configure the application to stream snapshots of your video source instead of a continuous stream, which can save a lot of bandwidth. If the PWS server is not enough, there is also the option of broadcasting to a FTP server, which is not ideal, because of the restrictions of that protocol. You can also change the resolution of the video and the overall quality.
